John William Honn, age 83, of Charleston, IL, died December 16, 2025, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, IL.
John was born March 11, 1943, in Paris, IL, to Othel and Edith (McConnaha) Honn. John was a graduate of Oakland High School (1961) and Lincoln College (1963) and served his country in the Army stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. He was employed by American Airlines in Chicago, IL and Fort Worth, TX. He always enjoyed sports and the family football pool. Several cousins survive John.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. For those who wish, memorials may be made in John’s honor to the Oakland Senior Center.
