William Craig, age 96, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at Pleasant Meadows Christian Village. Bill was born July 27, 1916 in Hume, Illinois to Susie (Mershon) and Thomas Craig. He was a member of the Chrisman Christian Church. Bill is survived by three children: John (Middy) Craig of Chrisman, IL, Charlotte (Kerm) Frailey of Chrisman, IL and Dean (Diana) Craig of Chrisman, IL; two step-children: Debbie Porter of Chrisman, IL and Tony Johnson of Paris, IL; one sister, Suella Loop of Chrisman, IL; nine grandchildren: Terri Beals, Lori Gilkerson, Troy (Rachel) Craig, LaRinda (Steve) Alexander, Craig (Missy) Kindred and LuCinda (Dillon) Brazelton, DeWayne Craig, Kami (Scott) Miller and Daren (Janice) Craig; eleven step-grandchildren; twenty two great grandchildren; fourteen great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, step great grandchildren and step great-great grandchildren and one special friend, Lela Mae Key. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Nila Craig and his second wife, Maryellen Craig, two sisters and two brothers. He was a lifelong resident of the Chrisman area and farmed his whole life. Bill loved the farm, animals and dancing. He lived a very full happy life, dearly loved his family and was a very special grandfather to many. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 12, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Krabel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 13, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery. For those who wish, memorials may be made to Chrisman Peace Meals or Pleasant Meadows Christian Village Activity Fund.
