Obituary for Jo Ann McQueen
Jo Ann (Hale) McQueen, age 81 of Oakland, IL went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 25, 2019 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center.
Jo Ann was born February 10, 1938 in Monroe County, KY to Orville Woodman and Dollye Ellen (Burchett) Hale. She married Billy C. McQueen on July 16, 1955 at the Oakland Christian Church, and they enjoyed 63 wonderful years together.
Jo Ann was a member of Victory Church in Camargo, IL. She loved the Lord, her church, and her family.
Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and one sister.
She is survived by her husband, their three children: Steve McQueen of Forsyth, IL; Mark (Melissa) McQueen of Stilwell, KS; Angie (Bob) Minear of Tuscola, IL; one brother: Dwight (Darlene) Hale of Paducah, KY; three sisters: Carol (Terry) Boyer of Mattoon, IL; Laverne (Gene) Jesse of Columbia, KY; Rachel Proffitt of Mattoon, IL; nine grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Krabel Funeral Home in Oakland. Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 11:30 a.m.
For those who wish, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
