Obituary for Jerry Wayne Dye
Jerry Wayne Dye, age 62 of Hume, IL, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2015 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL.
Jerry was born November 5, 1952 in Tuscola, IL to Ralph Clithroe and Margaret Marie (Blaze) Dye. He married Janet Carol Meeks on October 6, 1972, and they enjoyed 42 years of marriage; she survives.
He is also survived by four children: Jason (Donna) Dye of Hume, IL, Jennifer (Paul) Bloxham of Indianola, OK, Jeremy (Toni) Dye of Hume, IL and Jessica (Jason) Warner of Atwood, IL; his mother, Marge Dye of Brocton, IL; eleven siblings: Howard (Beverly) Dye of Houston, TX, Linda (Leon) Richards of Redmon, IL, Kurt (Karen) Dye of Wolcott, IN, Mary Hallen of Charleston, IL, Patty (Riley) Milburn of Redmon, IL, Harvey (Marybeth) Dye of Paris, IL, John (Suella) Dye of Redmon, IL, David (Tracy) Dye of Kansas, IL, Paul (Mary) Dye of Kentucky, Tim (Donna) Dye of Mattoon, IL and Richard (Nikki) Dye of Findlay, IL; six grandchildren: Brittni Hoel of Charleston, IL, Kyle Dye of Hume, IL, Zachary Hoel of Charleston, IL, Kelton Bloxham of Indianola, OK, Karmen Warner of Atwood, IL and Rebecca Warner of Atwood, IL; and a multitude of cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Dye.
Jerry was a lifelong resident of Hume, where he was a member of the Bloomfield Masonic Lodge #148. He was employed as a truck driver, and enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his many family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Krabel Funeral Home in Chrisman, IL. Masonic rites will be held immediately following the visitation. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 24, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Young America Cemetery. For those who wish, memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
