Jean Elizabeth Livingston, age 88 of Oakland, IL died Friday, March 16, 2018 at Newman Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
Jean was born June 26, 1929 in New Britain, CT to Joseph and Ann Pavano. She married William O. Livingston on September 28, 1948.
She is survived by five children: Michael (Karen) Livingston of Oakland, IL, Andrea (David) Switzer of Paris, IL, Kevin Livingston of Mattoon, IL, Marty Livingston of Tulsa OK, and Anthony Livingston of Charleston, IL; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and two sisters.
Jean was the first director of the Oakland Peace Meals program, and she held that position for 27 years. She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Arcola, the Paris Garden Study Club, and LMI. Jean was a wonderful cook, loved gardening and spending time with her family.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Krabel Funeral Home in Oakland. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Harmony Cemetery. For those who wish, memorials may be made to the Oakland Senior Center.
