Obituary for Grace Lillian Osburn
Grace Osburn, 100, of Oakland went home to be with the Lord at the Arthur Home on November 13, 2014. She had just celebrated her 100th birthday on November 11. Grace was born on November 11, 1914 to Elizabeth and Ira McCord in Hutton Township. She and Herschel were married on June 27, 1932. Herschel preceded her in death on July 13, 2003.
She is survived by four daughters, Sandra Osburn and Pat Goodman of Oakland, Sharon Montgomery of Queen City, MO, and Madonna (Ed) Farrier of Elgin, IL; seven grandchildren, Pam (Kerry) Luttrell, Kathy (Ron) Graf, Monica (Jim) March, Jeff Montgomery, Gene (Traci) Montgomery, Sonya (Scott) Clark, and Jim Montgomery. Grace had 23 great grandchildren, and 34 great-great grandchild. Two grandchildren, Todd Montgomery and Chris Goodman, one great grandchild, one great-great-great grandchild, and three sons-in-law preceded her in death.
Grace was a wonderful cook, well known for her noodles and angel food cake, and an accomplished seamstress.
Grace was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Oakland for over 60 years. Memorials may be made to the Antioch Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Krabel Funeral Home in Oakland. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
