Obituary for Franklin "Buster" Eugene Hollingsworth
Franklin “Buster” Eugene Hollingsworth Sr., age 67, of Paris, Illinois passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2014, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois. He was born on September 27, 1946, in Chrisman, Illinois to Donald Eugene and Margaret Rose (Powell) Hollingsworth. He married Ruby Smith in 1974, Peggy Smith in 1977, and Sally Kistler in 1983. They all preceded him in death. He was a member of the Chrisman American Legion Post # 477, Paris American Legion Post # 211, the 40&8, Masonic Bloomfield Lodge # 148, Scottish Rite – Valley of Danville, Ansar Shrine, Edgar County Shrine Club and the Paris V.F.W. Post # 3601. He enjoyed watching football, Nascar and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. He proudly served our country in the Army. Frank is survived by four children: Franklin (Hope) Hollingsworth Jr. of Terre Haute, IN, Donnetta (Jason) Burgess of Chrisman, IL, Bobbi Jo Hollingsworth of Brazil, IN and Rose Hollingsworth of Indianola, IL; one brother, George Hollingsworth of Muncie, IN; one sister, Mary Forsythe of Chrisman, IL and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and three wives. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2014, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Krabel Funeral Home in Chrisman. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Indianola, Illinois. For those who wish, memorials may be given to the Hollingsworth family or the Chrisman American Legion.
