Floyd Ivan Hupp, age 67, of Oakland, passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Hospital in Mattoon, Illinois. Mr. Hupp was born December 11, 1942 in Oakland, Illinois to Harry and Mabel (Massey) Hupp. He lived in the Oakland area all his life and earned a living as a truck driver. He was a member of the Westfield United Methodist Church, the Masonic Lodge and the Shrine. He enjoyed camping, racing, travel, and dearly loved his grandkids. He is survived by three sons, John L. Hupp (Heather) of Divernon, IL, Jeffrey A. Hupp of Charleston, IL, and Brian D. Hupp (Michelle) of Atlanta, GA; one daughter, Bethany A. Nunley (John) of Lockport, IL; one brother, Allen Hupp of Union Center, IL; and nine grandchildren. He is also survived by his lifelong companion, Lillian Todd and her two children, six grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister. A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 2, 2010 at Krabel Funeral Home in Oakland at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will be held on the same date, from 3:00 p.m. until the beginning of the service. For those who wish, memorials may be made to the Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Foundation in care of the funeral home. The family would like to express their thanks to all the emergency personnel who helped Floyd over the years.
