Obituary for Erika Elfrieda Jenness
Erika Elfrieda Jenness, age 88, of Chrisman, died Friday, August 26, 2011 at her home. Erika was born April 9, 1923 in Weilburge, Germany to Wilhelm and Marie (Schneider) Lenz. She married Robert Samuel Jenness on July 1, 1948 in Germany and then moved to the United States in 1949. She was a member of the Chrisman Christian Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was a homemaker and enjoyed flowers and sewing. She is survived by four sons: Robert W. Jenness of Chrisman, Ben H. Jenness of Chrisman, Sam D. Jenness of Chrisman and Rick E. Jenness of Chrisman; three daughters: Jane M. Stepp of Denton, Texas, Becky A. Clayton of Chrisman and Renate S. Wiseman of Paris; a brother, Wille Lenz of Elm, Germany; nineteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Krabel Funeral Home in Chrisman. Visitation will be held for two hours prior to the service, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Hoult Cemetery. For those who wish, memorials may be made to the Chrisman American Legion in care of the funeral home.
