Obituary for Elmer Scott Malone
Elmer Scott Malone, age 75, of Chrisman, died Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Paris Community Hospital. Scott was born October 3, 1936 in Danville, IL to Elmer Samuel and Helen (Scott) Malone. He was a lifelong resident of Chrisman. Farming was his first interest during his entire life. He also worked in chemical plants, the last one being the Eli Lily lab in Clinton, IN. He was a member of the Bloomfield Masonic Lodge #148, the Edgar County Shrine, Ansar Shrine and the 32nd Degree Consistory, Valley of Danville. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Marilyn Jo Malone of Chrisman, IL; two children: Michael Scott(Donna) Malone of Chrisman, IL and Melinda Sue (Rodney) Wolfe of Chrisman; two step-children: Michael Owen (Renee) Varner of Libertyville, IL and Mark Alen (Patty) Varner of Springfield, IL; a sister, Patricia Malone of Naperville, IL; ten grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents. Private family services will be held at a later date. For those who wish, memorials may be made to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children.
