Obituary for Daniel Rose
Daniel Edgar Rose, “Rose” age 62 of Sidell, died Monday, May 16, 2011 at his home. Daniel was born January 28, 1949 in Tuscola, IL to Melvin Austin and Edith Muriel (Smith). He enjoyed raising chickens and pigeons, fishing, and dearly loved his grandkids and nieces and nephews. He is survived by a step son, Jojan Shanks of Metcalf, IL; two step sons, Rennie Shanks and Mike Shanks of Kokomo, IN; six brothers, Quinn (Monie) Rose of Cayuga, IN, Reese Rose of Omaha, NE, Russell(Barb) Rose of Georgetown, IL, Barry (Donna) Rose of Hume, IL, Bobby Rose of Georgetown, IL, and Scott Rose of Georgetown, IL; three sisters, Kay White of Chrisman, IL, Sheryl (Jim) Wilson of Ridge Farm, IL and Donna (Robert) Dieu of Georgetown, IL; six step grandchildren; several step great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Patricia Delores (Bowling) Rose, whom he dearly loved and missed terribly. A graveside memorial service will be held on Friday, May 20, 2011 at Crown Hill Cemetery in Ridge Farm, IL at 2:00 p.m.
