Obituary for Dale Herald Baldwin
Dale Herald Baldwin, age 84, of Chrisman, IL and formerly of Springfield, IL, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 28, 2014 at Pleasant Meadows Senior Living Center.
Dale was born August 17, 1930 in Indianola, IL to John Henry and Exia (Waters) Baldwin. He married Helen Irene Miller at the Chrisman Christian Church on June 3, 1956; she survives. Dale and Helen were married for over 58 years.
He is also survived by two children: Ronald (Tammy) Baldwin of Tacoma, WA and Lisa (Ray) Krabel of Brocton, IL; and three sisters: Nadine Mulvaney of Paoli, IN, Ruby Dodd of Ft. Collins, CO and Lois McEnaney of Phoenix, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and five sisters.
Dale was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Korean War. He retired from the Teamsters Union after being employed at Bunn Capital for 38 years. He enjoyed working on houses and cars; he could fix anything and was an avid outdoorsman.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Krabel Funeral Home in Chrisman. Visitation will be held for two hours prior to the service, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens in Paris, IL.
