Obituary for Creta J. Garrison
Creta J. (Baker) Garrison, age 84 of Ridge Farm, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, October 5, 2012 at Twins Lakes Rehab Center in Paris. Creta was born January 12, 1928 in Danville, IL to Walter and Bertha (Short) Baker. She married Albert (Abe) L. Garrison on March 15, 1947 in Georgetown, IL, he preceded her in death. She was a member of the Ridge Farm Fireman’s Auxiliary for 30 years, Salty Sam’s camping club and was a former Cub Scout Den mother. Creta enjoyed camping, traveling, attending church and especially loved spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by a daughter, Pat (Sonny) Key of Chrisman, IL; three sons: Charlie Garrison, Mark (Melissa) Garrison and Jeff (Becky) Garrison all of Ridge Farm, IL; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents; five sisters; one great-grandson and an infant daughter, Pamela Garrison. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 8, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Krabel Funeral Home in Chrisman. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery in Ridge Farm. For those who wish, memorials may be made to Faith in Action of Vermilion County or Crown Hill Cemetery..
