Obituary for Cleta Hunt
Cleta Nell (Poulter) Hunt, age 91 of Oakland, IL died Saturday, May 9, 2015 Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center.
Cleta was born May 24, 1923 in rural Charleston, IL to Willis and Nellie (Newland) Poulter. She married Kenneth William Hunt on January 5, 1941 in Oakland; he preceded her in death in 1983. She was a homemaker and enjoyed baking, country music, mushroom hunting, fishing, travel, gardening and flowers.
She is survived by four children: Billy (Ruth) Hunt, Sr. of Oakland, IL, James (Nova) Hunt of Oakland, IL, Linda Hunt of Phoenix, AZ and Patty (Dave) Postlewait of Ashmore, IL; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and eleven great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a sister, and two great-grandchildren.
A graveside funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in Roselawn Cemetery in Charleston. For those who wish, memorials may be made to the Oakland Food Pantry.
