Obituary for Chad Darren Jenkins
Chad Darren Jenkins, age 42, of Louisville, KY and formerly of Chrisman, passed away at his home on Tuesday, March 9, 2010. He was born May 1, 1967 in Danville, Illinois, the son of Robert and Crystal (Vernon) Jenkins. He was employed as an LPN in phlebotomy at the Kentucky State Penitentiary. He previously served in the United States Air Force. Chad was an excellent bowler, winning the state National Junior Bowling Tournament in Louisville, KY and advancing to the Coca-Cola National Junior Bowling Championship in 1985, where he ranked 19th. He also loved to golf and play pool, and was an avid Kentucky Wildcats fan. Chad was a member of the Chrisman United Methodist Church, and was proud of being raised in a military family. He is survived by his parents, Robert and Crystal Jenkins of Chrisman; his grandmother, Jessie Jenkins of Chrisman; a brother, Brent (Lidia) Jenkins of San Diego, CA; a nephew, Brent Jenkins and a niece, Samantha Jenkins. A memorial service will be scheduled for a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Edgar County Humane Society or the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America in care of Krabel Funeral Home of Chrisman.
