Obituary for Carol J. Livingston
Carol J. Livingston, age 86 of Charleston, IL died Sunday, November 27, 2016 at Hilltop Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Carol was born July 2, 1930 in Ashmore, IL to George “Dewey” and Bertie May (Smith) Wright. She was previously employed as a librarian at Eastern Illinois University. She was a member of the Ashmore Presbyterian Church and enjoyed raising AKC Basset Hounds.
She is survived by two children: Tony Livingston and Karen King; a sister-in-law, Sara Wright; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Robert Livingston; a son: Kevin Livingston; and four brothers.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Krabel Funeral Home in Oakland. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Ashmore Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made in Carol’s honor to the Power Pak Program or to the Oaks Manor Activity Fund.
