Obituary for Bonnie Hoel
Bonnie Gayle (Luttrell) Hoel, age 71 of Oakland, IL, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 30, 2016.

Bonnie was born June 23, 1944 in Embarrass Township, Edgar County, IL to Harvey and Freda Luttrell. She married James Jay Hoel on February 17, 1963 at the Brocton Christian Church. She was a member of the Oakland Christian Church. She previously worked at Walnut Point State Park and the Charleston Walmart, and volunteered at the Oakland Library. She loved collecting lighthouses and traveling. She enjoyed playing cards, gardening, and working crosswords and puzzles.

She is survived by two children: Monica Pedigo of Athens, IL and Jeff (Connie) Hoel of Hindsboro, IL; two brothers: Max Luttrell of Murphysboro, IL and Harvey Luttrell of Martin, IL; a sister, Delores Brown of Redmon, IL; five grandchildren: Brittni Hoel (T.J. Blake, fiancé) of Hume, IL, Zachary Hoel of Charleston, IL, Jack and Alex Hoel of Hindsboro, IL, and Hannah Dhom of Springfield, IL; and two great-grandchildren: Braylen Shephard of Springfield, IL and Elliot Hoel of Champaign, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 5, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. at the Oakland Christian Church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the Oakland Memorial Library or the Oakland Senior Center.
