Obituary for Billijeanne Belobraydic
Billijeanne Belobraydic, age 71, of Oakland, IL passed away on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at her home.

Billijeanne was born June 28, 1947 in Tuscola, IL to Roy Mack and Neoma June (Ramsey) Harvey. She married Edward Paul Belobraydic on January 16, 1971, and they enjoyed 48 years together. He survives.

Billijeanne had a passion for learning and education. She held a master’s degree in Education, and studied Business Education, Educational Administration, and History at Eastern Illinois University. While at EIU, she served as president of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority and was active in student government. The highlight of her career was teaching History at Shiloh High School for over 20 years. “Mrs. B”, as she was known to her students, touched the lives of many with not only her kind and gentle nature, but also her sense of humor. While at Shiloh High School, she was a sponsor and leader of SADD, CAMA Teen, and the Peer Leadership Program. Billijeanne was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Arcola, IL, Altar and Rosary Society, the American Legion Auxiliary, and the EIU Alumni Association. Billijeanne enjoyed gardening, cooking, keeping up with current events, was an avid reader, and a history buff. She also enjoyed following sports, including her beloved Fighting Illini, Chicago Cubs, and the Chicago Bears. But for all her talents and interests, her one true passion and love was for her family. Billijeanne was selfless, thoughtful, and dedicated her life to her family.

Billijeanne was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, her two children: Gary Belobraydic of Charleston, IL and Dawn (Justin) Taylor of White Heath, IL; three grandchildren: Blake Belobraydic, Dane Taylor, and Jax Taylor; one brother: Roy Mack “Butch” Harvey Jr. and family of Charleston, IL; one sister-in-law: Julie Bloomquist and family of Maryville, IL. She is also survived by numerous extended family members; including her dear Uncle and Aunt Robert and Frances Wells of Camargo, IL.

Per Billijeanne’s request, the family will be holding a private memorial service at a later date.

For those who wish, memorials may be made in honor of Billijeanne Belobraydic to the Belobraydic family to establish a scholarship fund. Donations may be sent to Krabel Funeral Home at P.O. Box 1007 Oakland, IL 61943.
