Obituary for Betty Rose Good
Betty Rose (Kerans) Good, age 92 of Paris, IL passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at 7:48 p.m. She was born in Windsor, IL to Loy Cecil and Effie Rosetta (Swinford) Kerans on October 3, 1926. Betty attended Charleston High School, and married Alva David Good on December 31, 1947 in Charleston, IL. They enjoyed nearly 72 wonderful years together. Betty attended Redmon Christian Church, and spent most of her life as a homemaker, caring for her family. She was loved and adored by everyone who met her, and will be remembered for her kind, sweet spirit. Betty is survived by her loving husband, Alva David Good; one daughter: Teresa (Frank) Cheatham of Paris, IL; one son: Dave (Robin) Good of Mowequa, IL; two granddaughters: Amie (Jeff) Cook of Elba, AL and Michele (Shawn) Simoneaux of Terre Haute, IN; three great-grandsons: Lane Ziglar of Elba, AL; Jarett Simoneaux and Zach Simoneaux, both of Terre Haute, IN; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a sister-in-law: Pauline Good. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Krabel Funeral Home in Oakland, IL. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Embarrass Cemetery. For those who wish, memorials may be made to Redmon Christian Church. The family would like to thank Carle Hospice and Brookstone in Paris for the amazing care and compassion they showed during this difficult time.
