Obituary for Alma Watson
Alma Marie (Miller) Watson, age 94, of Charleston, IL went home to be with the Lord on December 10, 2015 at Presence Covenant Medical Center in Urbana, IL.

Alma was born July 12, 1921 in Brocton, IL to William Oscar and Nellie Beatrice (Sterling) Miller. She married Donald Edward Watson on December 23, 1939. She was a homemaker and volunteered as a 4 H leader and at Sarah Bush Lincoln Hospital for many years. She was a member of the Charleston Community Church. Alma was a talented seamstress, and made many wedding and bridesmaid dresses. She also enjoyed birdwatching and reading.

She is survived by three children: Donald (Charlotte) Watson of Charleston, IL, Linda (David) Dillon of Charleston, IL, and Patricia (Dan) Wright of Annawan, IL; two sisters: Reba Thomas of Hindsboro, IL; Violet East (Lowell) of Charleston, IL; a sister in law: Juanita Bennett of Newman, IL; thirteen grandchildren forty-two great-grandchildren, and twenty-two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Larry Dale Watson; and two sisters, Joy Cox and Faye Miller.

A graveside funeral will be held on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Newman Cemetery. For those who wish, memorials may be made to Charleston Community Church or the Sarah Bush Lincoln Volunteer Guild.
