Obituary for Alan Wayne Gossett
Alan Wayne Gossett, age 59, of Hume, IL passed away Monday, June 22, 2020 at his home. Alan was born November 1, 1960 in Danville, IL, to Glen Lee Gossett and Janice Ann (Thomas) Deffenbaugh. He enjoyed fishing, working on cars, and spending time with his family and friends. Alan was preceded in death by his father, his stepfathers: Howard Richards and Frank Deffenbaugh, one brother: Jerry Gossett, and a niece: Vanessa Gossett. He is survived by his mother, his four children: Natasha Halimi of Conyers, GA; Tabbatha (Christopher) Madden of Paris, IL; Christopher Gossett of Manteno, IL; and Alan (Amber) Gossett of Paris, IL; one brother: Ivin (Charlene) Gossett of Chrisman, IL; two sisters: Christy Penrod of Hume, IL; and Lisa Gossett of Charleston, IL; a sister-in-law: Shari Gossett; fifteen grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. The family will hold a memorial service at a later date. For those who wish, memorials may be made in care of Tabbatha Madden for the benefit of the family.
