Alan Dale Gobert, age 69, of Hindsboro, IL, died August 26, 2024, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center.
Alan was born June 7, 1955, in Charleston, IL, to Rex Dale and Cleone Marie (Mann) Gobert. He married Joyce Elaine Tucker on June 6, 1975, in Charleston, IL, and they enjoyed 49 years of marriage; she survives.
He is also survived by two sons: John Gobert (Megan Lewsader) of Paris, IL, and Bradley Gobert of Charleston, IL; six grandchildren: Michael Gobert, Zachary Gobert, Kelsy Gobert, Andrew Gobert, Melodee Gobert, and Adelynn Gobert; and four great-grandchildren: Mia Gobert, Maddix Gobert, Calvyn Gobert, and Brenden Gobert. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother: Alvin “Bub” Gobert.
Alan was employed as a welder at Trailmobile for 25 years. He enjoyed collecting field rocks and driving in the country.
A visitation will be held on Monday, September 2, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Krabel Funeral Home in Oakland, IL. A private family interment will be held in Fairview Cemetery. For those who wish, memorials in Alan’s honor may be made to the Sarah Bush Lincoln Cancer Center.
